Our Process
INITIAL COMMUNICATION
Initiated by you, with a general back and forth of ideas and questions.
Whether you prefer email, texting, or phone calls, this exchange of general information will help you establish whether our team is a good fit for your project.
ON SITE MEETING
Meet and greet at the site of the proposed project.
In addition to meeting in person, being in your space allows us to develop a better feel for your vision and overall feasibility. We will also collect basic measurements and make general assessments about structural components as they relate to your goals.
BUDGET PROPOSAL
Conceptual plan for your project and our best estimate for budgeting.
Our budget is based on factors such as age and general condition of the house, scope of work, and anticipated allowances for budget items and might also include a range to allow for potential unforeseen expenses specific to your project.
DESIGN PHASE
Conceptual plans are refined, and selections are made.
Upon approval of our Budget Proposal, we dive into the details! This phase is very much client-driven, and we will revise your plans until they meet both your vision and budget. Some clients decisively cruise through this phase, while others need several revisions to gain clarity… and still others just like to see all the options! This is also an opportunity to see where you can extract the most value, making choices that allocate budget dollars to your top priorities.
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
Legal document between the client and builder outlining the scope, cost, and terms of the project.
A signed contract secures your project on our schedule, and the terms provide you with a timeline for start date through completion.
